Body Lotion or Body Butter?

Have you ever wondered about the differences between Body Lotion and Body Butter or which one is best for you? Do you know the answer? If not, keep reading 😊

The main differences are texture and oil concentration.
Body Lotion typically has a higher water content than Body Butter giving it a thinner, liquid-like consistency. Body Butter has a thicker/creamier consistency and may have a higher concentration of heavier moisturizers which are great for dry/rough skin. Body Lotions are best for oily skin and on-the-go moisturizing because it absorbs into the skin quickly.

The good news is that it doesn't have to be a either/or situation. Some people prefer Butter in the Fall/Winter because it's thicker and the skin tends to be drier in the colder months and Lotion in the Spring/Summer. Some prefer to use one or the other all year long. We prefer Body Butter all year long here at Kiesha's Beauty Bar but you should always do your research and let your skin decide which product is best for you! Take care and stay moisturized!
